DTEK restored electricity to more than 14,000 families in the Donetsk region

On June 14, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to complete restoration activities on equipment and lines in 31 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 14,678 families in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts.

The situation in the Donetsk region is difficult, especially in the north. Constant shelling from almost all types of weapon continues. Nevertheless, energy workers also managed to restore electricity to 28 settlements near Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Marinka and Toretsk that suffered from shelling the day before.

We ask residents to treat power supply issues with understanding, as massive shelling lead to large-scale damage. Unfortunately, shelling of territories continues, causing damage to infrastructure of the grids and shutdown of energy enterprises.

316 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity due to hostilities. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 112 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents.
