In order to prepare for the heating season, DTEK Grids DSO will upgrade 2,000 km of power lines in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine predicts a difficult 2022-2023 heating season. Implementation of a repair program is a DTEK Grids DSO contribution to a stable cold season. As of now, company’s specialists have already conducted over 1,500 repairs of power equipment. Such measures increase reliability and sustainability of the power systems of regions and cities and reduce their accident rate.
“DTEK Group is a responsible business, partner of society and state. We consistently implement a program of scheduled repairs to improve reliability of the grid and prepare for the autumn-winter period. Overall, we will upgrade almost 1,500 transformer and distribution points this year. We will also repair over 2,000 km of grids. We use all financial and technical resources that the company has thanks to the stimulating RAB regulation to prepare for the difficult 2022-2023 autumn-winter period. It is a big job for companies’ energy workers and our contribution to the stable 2022-2023 autumn-winter period,” – noted representative of the DTEK Grids.
Besides, specialists of the Distribution System Operators will clear over 6,000 km of overhead power lines from green spaces. It will reduce grids breakdowns, especially in settlements with mostly private houses.
Company’s specialists will also inspect over 300 critical infrastructure facilities – hospitals, schools, kindergartens, thermal power facilities and housing and communal services facilities in order to ensure its reliable power supply and normal operation despite the situation in the country.
DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators call on service companies to take a responsible attitude to the preparation of high-rise buildings for winter as well. They are the ones responsible for condition of intra-house networks of the high-rise buildings. Before the beginning of the autumn-winter period, housing offices, condominiums and managing companies should inspect their equipment, conduct required maintenance and eliminate malfunctions in order to ensure reliable power supply of buildings.
