DTEK restored electricity to more than 45,000 homes in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of the week
Active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region, constant shelling here damages grids and substations on a daily basis. Our specialists restore electricity supply once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance. Last week, we managed to restore electricity to homes of 40,000 families in the frontline region.
South of the Dnipropetrovsk region constantly suffers from regular shelling as well. DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored electricity to more than 5,000 families over the course of the week.
“For 629 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 9.3 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
