The company noted that it was crucial for restoration of life in the de-occupied communities. Energy workers did their best to conduct the works as soon as possible, despite constant hostilities in the region.

DTEK Donetsk Grids is doing everything possible to restore electricity after hostilities and shelling in order to provide Ukrainians with an opportunity to contact their families. Since the first day of war, our emergency crews have been repairing grids, destroyed by the invaders, and restoring electricity to Ukrainians and to the critical infrastructure facilities. DTEK combined all efforts and resources, 60 energy workers have been restoring de-occupied communities of the Donetsk region side-by-side. They had help from 34 specialists of 3 DTEK DSO from Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions. We have restored more than 370 kilometers of power lines, destroyed by shelling, repaired and energized 14 high-voltage substations and 126 transformer substations. DTEK energy workers are doing everything possible to provide electricity to residents of the frontline region,” – informed the energy company.

Energy workers were the first ones after the military to enter the de-occupied settlements. The works were extremely difficult both due to large-scale mining of territories and proximity to the frontline, where the enemy was able to actively shell towns and villages.

DTEK Donetsk Grids cares about safety of its employees. All works were conducted only after the sappers conducted their inspections, while employees worked in special helmets and bulletproof vests.

The company directed all resources on repair of grids and equipment, affected by hostilities, and will continue to restore electricity to residents of the Donetsk region, despite all difficulties of the frontline region.
