In July, enemy attacks on the energy infrastructure continued. Last month, DTEK Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to more than 364,000 Ukrainians*, whose homes were de-energized due to shelling in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa regions and the city of Kyiv. After each air attack or artillery shelling, specialists of the Distribution System Operators promptly repair the grids once they obtain permission from the AFU and SES.

In July, the enemy continued to attack our energy system with drones and missiles. In the regions, close to hostilities, the energy system also suffered from enemy artillery shelling and air strikes. In particular, in July energy workers managed to restore electricity to homes of 186,400 families in the Donetsk region, where the situation remains extremely difficult due to active hostilities. Specialists of the energy company continue restoring grids in the frontline region on a daily basis – once the security situation and the military permit.

Last month, the enemy continued to attack the Dnipropetrovsk region, with the south of the region, which is close to the area of hostilities, suffering the most. In July, energy workers were able to restore power to 172,100 families here

During the same period of time, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators restored electricity to homes of 4,600 families of residents of the Odesa region, whose homes were de-energized due to yet another enemy attacks.

Last month, Kyiv has also suffered yet another enemy attack, which damaged the grids and completely destroyed the transformer substation that provided electricity to the children’s hospital “Okhmatdyt”. Energy workers promptly restored electricity to homes of 1,100 families, most of them – via backup circuits, and to all buildings of “Okhmatdyt”.

“In July, the enemy continued attacking our country, and its energy infrastructure in particular. Nevertheless, energy workers of Ukraine joined efforts to keep providing residents with electricity. Our task is to provide residents and critical infrastructure with electricity as much as it is possible in the conditions of regular shelling. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 13.1 million families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the capital,”noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids

Company’s specialists continue to work together with AFU and SES in the regions of fiercest hostilities and restore operation of the grids immediately after obtaining permission from them.
