DTEK brings back light: power supply has been restored to homes of 41,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the past week

From May 8 to 15, specialists of the DTEK repair crews have restored electricity to 41,000 families in 35 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, left without power supply due to the enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Last week, the intensity of power outages due to shelling has decreased. Nevertheless, the enemy continues to damage the grids, especially in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions that are located close to the buffer zone. DTEK Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 39,000 families in Donetsk and almost 2,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 7.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
