DTEK brings back light: energy workers restored power to homes of 70,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk region last week

From July 3 to 9, specialists of DTEK repair crews have restored electricity to 70,000 families in 89 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions that were left without power supply due to enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Last week, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions continued to suffer from regular enemy shelling that caused failure of the grids in 89 settlements. DTEK Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 69,000 families in the Donetsk region and 540 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we eliminate consequences of shelling, repair damaged grids and restore electricity on a daily basis. During 500 days of the full-scale war, we have restored electricity to more than 8 mln families,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
