DTEK energy workers restored electricity to more than 100,000 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region after the hurricane
Stormy wind that started on Monday night caused large-scale falling of trees and broken power lines in the region. Tenths of thousands of homes were left without electricity. Nikopol, Novomoskovsk, Synelnykove and Kamianske districts suffered the most.
Over 70 crews of DTEK Dnipro Grids were engaged to promptly eliminate emergencies. They worked 24/7 to energize the gird as soon as possible. By Tuesday morning, energy workers managed to restore power to more than 100,000 customers.
The specialists restored operation of almost 3,000 transformer substations and 175 power lines, thus restoring electricity to 215 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized.
Our crews have already completed restoration activities on the majority of the high and medium voltage lines and are currently eliminating individual emergencies on the 0.4 kV grids. The works on 4 lines and nearly 1,700 individual requests are ongoing. Energy workers are working to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible.
Let us remind that strong gusts of wind may cause falling of trees and broken wires. Please be careful, follow safety rules and do not approach the power lines.
