Heroes forever: energy worker of DTEK Dnipro Grids has been posthumously awarded with an order “For courage”

By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, a high state award was bestowed upon the auto crane operator from Nikopol Hennadii Musatov, who was a part of the DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crew that worked on restoration of electricity after shelling. Unfortunately, he died in February this year. For his personal courage and dedication, Hennadii was posthumously awarded with an order “For Courage”, III degree.

Hennadii Musatov, gave over 20 years of his life to the profession of energy worker. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, as part of the DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crew he worked in one of the most dangerous areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region near the frontline. Despite constant threats, he and his colleagues were restoring power supply in the affected settlements on a daily basis, bringing light and hope back to the people. On February 20, 2025, a 56-year-old man was killed at his action station. The enemy shell hit the cabin of his auto crane during performance of repairs at one of the damaged power facilities. 

For his significant contribution to ensuring operation of the energy complex in the conditions of martial law, personal courage and dedication, displayed in elimination of consequences of emergencies at the energy infrastructure facilities, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Hennadii Musatov was posthumously awarded with an order “For Courage”, III decree. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the state award to the family of the deceased energy worker. 

DTEK Dnipro Grids staff is deeply saddened by the loss of a colleague and a true hero. His courage, dedication and humanity will forever remain in our hearts.
