297 home solar power plants were connected to DTEK Kyiv Region Grids in six months of 2020. Now there are more than 2 thousand prosumers* in Kyiv Region. The majority of green energy producers is located in Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky District (344), Brovarsky District (263), and Boryspil District (235).

«DTEK Kyiv Region Grids provide unhindered access to the grids infrastructure for all clients. Since the beginning of the year, the company has connected 297 home solar power plants. This is our contribution to the decarbonization of the Ukrainian energy sector, environmental preservation, and shaping an ecological future for new generations,» says Vitaliy Shaida, DTEK Kyiv Region Grids General Director.

According to the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving in Ukraine, households installed more than 25.6 thousand SPPs with a total capacity of 658 MW within six months of 2020. Kyiv Region is in the top five leaders, where the largest number of SPPs is observed. Thus, Dnipropetrovsk Region accounts for 3398 SPPs, Ternopil Region — 2200, Kyiv Region — 2082, Ivano-Frankivsk Region — 1900, and Zakarpatska Region — 1600.
