Elimination of bad weather consequences: DTEK restored electricity to 29,000 customers in 113 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region

DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers continue to eliminate consequences of bad weather that is ongoing since November 26. Emergency repairs on lines and equipment are conducted immediately upon discovery of new outages. Over the course of the day, specialists have restored electricity to 29,000 families in 113 settlements. Repair activities are ongoing in the region. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible despite adverse weather conditions.

As of the morning of November 27, 44,000 homes in 270 settlements of the region remain without electricity. 114 lines and 1,293 transformer substations were completely or partially de-energized. 

The most affected by bad weather were Nikopol, Pavlohrad, Synelnykove and Kamianske districts, where gale force wind caused lots of fallen trees and broken power lines. 

69 crews of DTEK Dnipro Grids (197 employees and 71 items of machinery) were engaged in elimination of emergencies. 

Restoration activities on 110 and 6-10 kV lines are to be completed by the end of the day today. After that, works will begin on 0.4 kV lines as per the individual customer requests. 

According to forecasts of meteorologists, adverse weather conditions will remain in the Dnipropetrovsk region on November 27: gusts of south-western wind up to 17-22 m/s and heavy blizzard. Hazard level ІІ (orange).  

Let us remind that strong gusts of wind may lead to fallen trees and broken wires. Be careful, follow safety rules and do not approach the power lines.
