DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists are finishing eliminating consequences of bad weather. From Sunday evening to Tuesday morning, emergency crews managed to restore power to more than 91,000 families in 292 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Restoration activities are completed and energy workers are eliminating individual emergencies on the 0.4 kV grids.

In the evening of November 19, snowfall and gusts of gale force wind caused massive breaks of power lines in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Tens of thousands of homes were left without electricity. The most affected by bad weather were Dnipro, Kamianske, Synelnykove and Novomoskovsk districts.

59 crews of DTEK Dnipro Grids were engaged in prompt elimination of emergencies. They worked round-the-clock to energize the grid as soon as possible. By Monday morning, energy workers managed to restore power to 63,000 customers, and during the next day – to restore electricity to another 28,000 homes in the region.

Energy workers restored operation of 1,100 transformer substations and more than 100 high and medium voltage power lines. Electricity has been restored to 292 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized.

Primary restoration activities are now completed. Energy workers are eliminating individual emergencies on the 0.4 kV grids.

Let us remind that strong gusts of wind may lead to fallen trees and broken wires. Be careful, follow safety rules and do not approach the power lines.
