Power facilities and power lines require constant maintenance. The grids are especially wearing out due to the overload that happens during application of shutdown schedules. In order to prevent possible emergencies, DTEK Kyiv Grids specialists implemented scheduled and emergency measures. In particular, they repaired more than 46 km of power lines and 731 power facilities. They also cleared more than 158 km of routes under the power lines from shrubs in order to prevent breaking of wires due to bad weather and conducted almost 5,000 repairs of the cable networks.

While implementing its own investment program that provides for major overhaul of the existing facilities or construction of the new ones, DTEK Kyiv Grids reconstructed 1 high-voltage substation, 8 distribution points, 44 transformer points and 15 kilometers of cable networks. They also upgraded 13 high-voltage substations, thus improving quality and reliability of power supply for 70,000 families in the capital

Reliable modern grids are the foundation for sustainability of the energy system. Therefore, despite the wartime challenges, we keep the existing electrical equipment in the working condition and perform its timely maintenance. Additionally, we gradually implement upgrade and modernization program. In particular, we invested almost 1 billion hryvnas in such projects in 2024,noted DTEK Kyiv Grids CEO Denys Bondar

Company’s specialists also continue to install smart meters in the Kyivans’ homes. Such appliances automatically submit readings and allow saving 50% of night electricity cost. Almost 39,000 of such appliances have been installed in 2024.

Company’s specialists are doing everything possible to support normal life of citizens even in the conditions of constant enemy attacks.
