Possibilities for employment in the company for the veterans: DTEK Odesa Grids took part in the Career Day
For four years, DTEK Odesa Grids has been implementing the veterans support program, based on the principles of equality, respect, gratitude and experience of the veterans themselves. The support program includes medical support, wellness, rehabilitation, change of specialization / profession and assistance in adapting with support of mentors, the role of which is played by direct supervisors.
“As of today, 136 employees of DTEK Odesa Grids serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mobilized employees keep their workplace and voluntary medical insurance. 33 colleagues have already returned after the service to work at the enterprise and we treat every one of them with respect. Our task is to ensure as comfortable working conditions as possible, providing necessary medical, psychological and professional support,” — noted Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.
One of the key aspects of the support program is mentorship. Every veteran has a supervisor or HR specialist assigned to them, who helps restore and renew working skills, orientate in the team and master a new profession, if required. The training is based at the training center for personnel learning and development or at the working places.
Another important area is preparing the team for veterans’ return. Webinars and live broadcasts are conducted for this purpose, during which employees find out about the specifics of correct communication and colleagues’ needs after the service. This helps create an atmosphere of support and mutual understanding within the teams.
DTEK Odesa Grids will continue expanding the veterans support program, share experience and expertise with other employers, to jointly build a culture of respect and gratitude to the defenders of Ukraine.
