DTEK restored electricity to more than 163,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odesa regions over the course of the week

Last week, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO managed to completely or partially restore power to 217 settlements in three regions, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 163,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

From March 17 to 23, energy workers continued to eliminate consequences of enemy shelling. The majority – in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which almost constantly suffers from enemy attacks. Especially the south of the region, which is close to the area of hostilities. Our specialists here managed to restore electricity to 110,600 families last week.

Meanwhile, the most active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Despite constant danger, specialists of the energy company repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for repairs. Over the past seven days, they managed to restore power to homes of almost 52,600 families here.

Enemy attacks caused de-energization in the Odesa region too: last week, energy workers here managed to restore electricity to 470 homes of local residents, de-energized by shelling. Electricity has been restored as soon as possible once the sappers and the military provided permission.

“The enemy continues to attack the energy system of our country. Energy workers continue to hold the energy front for more than three years of the full-scale invasion. Since its beginning, we have already restored electricity to 18.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
