DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 63,000 families after bad weather in the Dnipropetrovsk region

A reinforced team of DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists is eliminating the aftermath of Sunday’s bad weather. By the morning of November 20, energy workers managed to restore operation of a significant share of damaged lines and transformer substations. Power has been restored to more than 63,000 families in 162 settlements of the region. Repairs are underway to restore electricity to all homes of residents of the region as soon as possible.

In the evening of November 19, snowfall and gusty wind in the Dnipropetrovsk region caused massive breaks of power lines. Tens of thousands of homes were left without electricity. The most affected by bad weather were Dnipro, Kamianske, Synelnykove and Novomoskovsk districts. 

During the night, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews managed to restore power to more than 63,000 families. Energy workers restored operation of 1,250 transformer substations and 50 power lines of 6-10 kV. Electricity has been restored to 162 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized. 

Another 15,400 homes in 120 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible. 

59 crews of DTEK Dnipro Grids (173 specialists, 66 items of machinery) were engaged in prompt elimination of emergencies. 

Power supply is to be restored by the end of the day.
