DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 70,000 families after bad weather in the Dnipropetrovsk region

A reinforced team of DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists is eliminating the aftermath of Sunday hurricane. By the morning of November 13, energy workers managed to restore operation of most of the lines and transformer substations. Power has been restored to more than 70,000 families in 241 settlements of the region. Repairs are underway to restore electricity to all homes of residents of the region as soon as possible.

On November 12, gusty wind in the Dnipropetrovsk region caused massive power lines breaks due to the fallen trees. Tens of thousands of homes were left without electricity. Synelnykove, Pavlohrad, Nikopol and Novomoskovsk districts were affected by bad weather the most. 

Over the course of the day, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews managed to restore power to more than 70,000 families. Energy workers restored operation of 1,433 transformer substations and more than 100 power lines. Electricity has been restored to 188 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized. 

52 crews of DTEK Dnipro Grids were engaged in prompt elimination of emergencies. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible. 

As of the morning of November 13, more than 7,000 homes in 52 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Power supply is to be restored by the end of the day.

  • do not approach bare wires and broken lines, and never touch them;
