According to the Dnipropetrovsk Hydrometeorology Regional Center, between January 16 and 20, a significant cooling is expected down to - 10 -15 degrees in the daytime and -16 -21 degrees at night, as well as an increase in wind because of the Arctic air dominating in the region. Bad weather can lead to blackouts across the region.

DTEK serves the interests of Ukraine, takes care of its customers and does everything to ensure that their homes always have light, warmth, and comfort. We've been mobilized since the night of January 12, when a snow cyclone came to Dnipropetrovsk Region. We have 29 emergency crews fully ready. If required, we'll involve more people. DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue to be on duty and are ready to promptly eliminate accidents should they occur”, – says Andrii Tereschuik, DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO.

Tips for potential blackouts due to bad weather: you can see information about blackouts on the company's website in the section Emergency Outages. If your address is there that means that power engineers already know about the outage, and are busy restoring the power supply. If you cannot find your address, please inform the call center of DTEK Dnipro Networks by calling (056) 790 99 00, (066) 790 99 00 or (067) 790 99 00, on the company's website or via Facebook.

DTEK Dnipro Grids also reminds of the need to comply with electrical safety rules: in case of strong winds, you should not be near power lines; do not approach the broken wire closer than 8-12 meters and in no case touch it. If you find wires fallen to the ground, broken or sagging, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged supports, please report to the call center.

Also, we have prepared TOP-5 tips on how to prevent network overload in winter and avoid blackouts in a house or apartment.
