Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore power to more than 3,000 families in 13 settlements

On September 28, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, have repaired a number of damaged grids and equipment and restored power to residents of 13 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to more than 3,000 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts of the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to promptly restore power once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 13 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 3,488 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

For instance, electricity has been restored to over 1,000 families in Toretsk community, over 800 families in Marinka community and over 400 families each in Bakhmut and Kostiantynivka communities. Most of these communities had electricity restored to them in less than 24 hours. Electricity has also been restored to 500 families in Sloviansk community, where energy workers could not access a number of damages for about two months due to constant shelling. Once the military provided a permit – specialists of the energy company have conducted repairs and restored electricity to its customers.

Additionally, energy workers managed to work in Selydove community.

Massive shelling continues in the Donetsk region. The situation remains difficult. In particular, the head of the military administration of Kramatorsk has informed about 4 missile strikes on the city. According to the National Police, another 4 missiles hit Bakhmut. 82 settlements remain without electricity. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk and Marinka. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
