Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored electricity to homes of more than 24,000 families in the Donetsk region

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore power to 9 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 24,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers commence repairs immediately, once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Hostilities in the Donetsk region do not subside. Nevertheless, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore power to 9 settlements in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts, thus restoring electricity to homes of 24,147 families.

The majority of restorations were carried out in the Bakhmut district, which remains one of the most difficult directions. In particular, energy workers were able to restore electricity to 15,000 families in Toretsk community over the course of a day. In Bakhmut community, electricity has been restored to more than 1,000 families in less than 24 hours and to over 4,000 families more over the day.

Besides, energy workers, with the permission of the military, managed to restore electricity to more than 2,000 families in Sloviansk community and conduct a number of repairs in Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka and Marinka communities.

Active fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. 80 settlements remain without electricity due to constant shelling and lack of access. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk and Marinka. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
