Brave to bring the light: 48 energy workers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids were honored with state awards on the occasion of a professional holiday
Since the beginning of war in Ukraine, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers have been working in extreme conditions for the sake of light and electricity, which has acquired a special meaning. It helps Ukrainians work, study, be in touch with family and loved ones, it helps doctors save lives, it helps business work and support Ukrainian economy.
For their bravery to bring light and commitment to the profession, energy workers of the Kyiv region were awarded with honors, certificates and citations from the Ministry of Energy and regional and local authorities.
“It does not matter how many missiles and drones they have; it does not matter how their attacks affected the energy system. The key is people, and thanks to your work the enemy will never defeat our energy front. We will rebuild everything and we will hold our line of defense, as we have the most valuable – our energy workers,” – emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko.
Energy workers of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids play an important role in ensuring national security and independence of the country. They, just like the military at the frontline, constantly face challenges and risks. And every one of them works for recovery and development of the country. Every energy worker is the pride of the company and the hope of Ukrainians.
“For the second year in a row, we are working in an extremely difficult mode. We ensure normal life of Ukrainians, as much as it is possible. Today, we really are the warriors of light, and light is hope. By means of illuminated streets and homes, working household appliances and gadgets, we return a part of ordinary pre-war life to homes of residents of the region. We stand on the defense of the energy front and we prove every day that light always overcomes darkness. Many thanks to every energy worker for courage, professionalism and commitment to the cause,” – noted DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids CEO Vitalii Shaida.
