Brave to bring the light: 82 energy workers of the DTEK Odesa Grids were honored with departmental and corporate awards on the occasion of a professional holiday
Since the beginning of war in Ukraine, energy workers of the DTEK Odesa Grids have been working in extreme conditions for the sake of light and electricity, which has acquired a special meaning. It helps Ukrainians work, study, be in touch with family and loved ones, it helps doctors save lives, it helps business work and support country’s economy.
For their bravery to bring light and commitment to the profession, 82 energy workers of the DTEK Odesa Grids received awards. 24 employees were awarded with departmental honors of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. Head of the Podolsk region of the grids Serhii Kucher was awarded with a breast badge “For excellence in energy industry”. 12 energy workers received awards from city and regional authorities. DTEK Certificate of Honor was awarded to 3 employees, DTEK Grids Certificate of Honor – to 4. DTEK Grids Certificate was presented to 11 best employees of the year, while DTEK Odesa Grids Certificate – to 26. Oleksandr Maksymenko, senior dispatcher of the distribution grids unified control center, was selected as the best mentor.
“It does not matter how many missiles and drones they have; it does not matter how their attacks affected the energy system. The key is people, and thanks to your work the enemy will never defeat our energy front. We will rebuild everything and we will hold our line of defense, as we have the most valuable – our energy workers,” – underscored the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko in his address.
Energy workers of the DTEK Odesa Grids play an important role in ensuring national security and independence of the country. They, just like the military at the frontline, constantly face challenges and risks. And every one of them works for recovery and development of the country. Every energy worker is the pride of the company and the hope of Ukrainians!
“Over the course of two years of war, our men have restored electricity to homes of more than 112,000 families in the Odesa region. To ensure victory of light over darkness, we helped restore electricity in Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Lviv, and on multiple occasions in Donetsk and Kherson regions. Almost 3,000 of our energy workers are ready to keep holding the energy front for the sake of light and heat in the homes of Ukrainians and for the sake of Victory,” – noted DTEK Odesa Grids CEO Dmytro Hryhoriev.
DTEK Grids is a foundation and support for normal life of the country and Ukrainians, especially now – during the war.
