DTEK restored power to 302,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions in April

Last month, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to 302,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. In April, our specialists repaired the grids in 345 settlements, de-energized due to enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Active hostilities do not subside in the Donetsk region, where constant enemy shelling damages power equipment and grids on a daily basis. Our specialists restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Over the course of the month, they managed to restore operation of grids for 199,000 families in the Donetsk region.

Shelling of the Dnipropetrovsk region has also intensified last month. The south of the region, which is close to the frontline, suffers from enemy attacks the most. In April, energy workers restored power to homes of 68,600 families, left without electricity due to the damage of lines and power facilities by shelling.

Odesa region becomes targeted by enemy attacks more and more often, too. Last month, energy workers managed to promptly restore electricity to homes of 34,500 families in the Odesa region, affected by enemy strikes.

“For over two years, our specialists have been working in the conditions of increased danger and repairing grids, destroyed by the enemy attacks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, energy workers have already restored electricity to more than 12.1 mln families. Our primary priority is to provide electricity to customers as soon as possible. Energy workers commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
