DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to almost 240,000 homes over the course of a week

Despite the difficult situation in the Donetsk region from January 13 to 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of grids damages and repair it, thus restoring electricity to 91 settlements. Power supply has been restored to almost 18,500 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible.

Despite heavy fighting in the region and constant shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 91 settlements last week, thus restoring power to 239,951 homes in the Donetsk region.

Energy workers managed to carry out most of the restorations over the weekend, when yet another enemy shelling caused de-energization of almost the entire north of the region, which is 49 settlements and more than 200,000 homes.

Donetsk region remains an arena of the most active hostilities. Constant enemy shelling of the region continues. Damage of the energy infrastructure due to continues enemy attacks is ongoing too. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region immediately after obtaining permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
