DTEK restored electricity to 68,000 families in Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

Over the past week, April 22 through 28, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have completely or partially restored power to 50 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 68,000 families in Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, de-energized due to constant enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

Odesa region suffered yet another assault in the morning of April 24 that left homes of 32,600 families without electricity. By evening, DTEK energy workers, with the permission of the military and emergency service, have repaired the damage and restored electricity to all homes, de-energized due to the assault.

The most active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Last week, they managed to restore electricity to homes of 25,500 families in the frontline region.

Dnipropetrovsk region constantly suffers from enemy shelling, especially its south, where our specialists also managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 10,100 families over the course of a week.

“For 796 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 12.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
