Electricity restored to 8,700 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs after shelling

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to completely or partially restore power to 30 settlements, affected by active hostilities in the region, thus restoring access to electricity for 8,700 families. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

On July 24, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews got to a number of grid damages, caused by shelling, repaired it and restored power to residents of 30 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 8,719 families in the frontline region. 

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the National Police, the enemy launched over 2,800 strikes along the frontline and on the residential sector yesterday. 11 settlements of the Donetsk region have been shelled. 

Shelling continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 883 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
