Oleksandr Fomenko appointed CEO of the DTEK Grids

Oleksandr Fomenko, former Head of the DTEK Odessa Grids, was appointed CEO of the DTEK Grids. Company’s priorities under his management will include restoration of energy infrastructure, destroyed due to hostilities, and continuation of the previously started projects related to digitalization of the grids and improvement of the customer service. Oleksandr Fomenko has replaced Ivan Geliukh, who will continue his work in DTEK as a Member of the Board at D.TRADING B.V.

“At this crucial time for the country, DTEK Grids has directed all resources to restore grids that suffered from hostilities. In addition to repair of the destroyed electrical infrastructure, the company will continue to upgrade DSO grids and make them “smart” with the help of automation and digitalization programs. Customer focus also remains a key area of business development. The company will continue to build partnership relations with customers, develop digital channels of communication (websites and chatbots) and work to be the benchmark for customer service in Ukraine,” – commented Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of the DTEK Grids.

Oleksandr Fomenko has been employed in DTEK since 2000. At different times, he has been in charge of Energougol ENE, Dniprooblenergo (currently DTEK Dnipro Grids) and Kyivenergo (currently DTEK Kyiv Grids). In June 2019, he has been appointed the Head of DTEK Odessa Grids.

Ivan Geliukh, previously Head of the DTEK Grids, will continue his cooperation with the company as a Member of the Board at D.TRADING B.V.

Oleksandr Fomenko graduated from the Donetsk State Technical University with two majors: electrical engineer and accountant. He received a degree in “Management of organizations” at the Donetsk National University. In 2011, he received an MBA under the joint program of London Business School and Academy DTEK “Energy of the Leader”.
