DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to 67,800 homes in December

Despite large-scale hostilities in the region and constant danger, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 98 settlements* during the last month of 2024, thus restoring electricity to 67,800 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, energy workers restored electricity to a running total of 9.1 mln families.

In December, the enemy continued to mercilessly shell the Donetsk region and hit it with drones, missile and air strikes. The energy infrastructure suffered damage daily. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 67,812 families in 98 settlements.

Restoring electricity in the Donetsk region becomes more and more difficult due to constant enemy attacks. Nevertheless, energy workers continue working regardless. Last week alone, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to 23,900 families in 34 settlements of the Donetsk region.

Daily shelling causes constant damage to the energy system of the region. Crews of energy workers come under fire increasingly often too. Nevertheless, specialists of the energy company continue to work and will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 1,048 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
