Audit confirmed the compliance of the Health&Safety and environmental management system at DTEK High Voltage Grids with ISO international standards
DTEK High Voltage Grids has been audited for compliance with international standards by MC Consulting LLC, which is accredited by IAS (International Accreditation Body). During the audit, experts evaluated the processes in place to ensure the high-quality functioning of systems in the company:
- Occupational health and safety management systems;
- Environmental management systems;
Continuous improvement of these processes is a prerequisite for meeting the requirements of the standards.
“DTEK is transforming the business in accordance with the New Strategy 2030, which is based on ESG principles, values and business responsibility for progress in achieving the sustainable development goals of the UN Global Compact. DTEK High Voltage Grids cares about the environment, monitors the safety of employees and customers and annually confirms this through international standardization certificates. This year the auditors visited the 110 and 35kV substations in Mariupol and Volnovakha, and the company has successfully passed the assessment for compliance with all the requirements once again,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, CEO of DTEK Donetsk Grids.
During the audit, the auditors highly appreciated the following projects:
- The procedure in place for the identification of hazards and the assessment of risks and environmental aspects;
- Waste sorting and disposal;
- Projects for reconstruction of buildings, structures and improvement of working conditions for personnel;
- Presentations, videos on Health and Safety and Environmental Protection;
- Monitoring the psychophysiological state of employees under the Safety Culture program;
- Photo, video recording of the inconsistencies identified.
As previously mentioned, DTEK Grids received an award for the environmental policy, which the company consistently implements. The company has been openly recognized as a business that cares about biodiversity conservation. At the annual ECOtransformation-2020 event, DTEK received an award for its project to protect storks from electric shock.
