Distribution System Operators of DTEK Grids will channel more than UAH 340 million to finance the preparation for the 2020/2021 autumn-winter season

DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators will invest UAH 346.9 million to prepare power grids in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk Regions, and Kyiv City for the 2020/2021 autumn-winter season. The power distribution companies take care about their customers and plan to repair more than 6 thousand kilometres of power lines and carry out maintenance and major repair of various electrical installations. Thanks to these efforts, they will be able to meet the challenges of the cold season and bring light and comport to the houses of local residents.

By preparing for the autumn-winter season, we manage to avoid a majority of potential outages. DTEK takes care about its customers and finds trouble spots in advance to have enough time to perform scheduled repairs. This is a foundation for quality and reliable electricity supply. Preparation programs undertaken in the regions include the repair of 6 thousand kilometres of power line. As a comparison, this is almost the entire length of Ukraine’s state border’, noted DTEK Grids CEO Ivan Gelyukh.

By the start of a heating season, distribution system operators of DTEK Grids operating in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk Regions, and Kyiv City will have completed more than 1,000 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, more than 6,070 repairs of medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points , and 3,600 repairs of 0.4 kV power lines that deliver electricity directly to the houses of local residents*.

The preparation of electrical equipment for peak load in the region also includes repairs to 423 buildings and structures that directly involved to supplying electricity to consumers.

  • DTEK Kyiv Grids (Kyiv): 148 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, 754 repairs to medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points, and more than 600 repairs to 0.4 kV power lines that deliver electricity directly to the houses of local residents.
  • Kyivoblenergo (Kyiv Region): 158 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, 1,876 repairs to medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points, and 1,931 repairs to 0.4 kV power lines deliver electricity directly to the houses of the region residents.
  • DTEK Donetsk Grids (the CT of Donetsk Region): more than 400 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, 332 repairs to medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points, and repairs to more than 300 km of various voltage class power lines.
  • Odesaoblenrgo (Odesa Region): 240 repairs to high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, 2,647 repairs to medium-voltage 10 power grids) kV transformer and distribution points, 114 repairs to 10 (6) kV power lines, and 934 repairs to 0.4 kV power lines deliver electricity that deliver directly to the houses of Odesa City and Odesa Region residents.
  • DTEK Dnipro Grids (Dnipropetrovsk Region): 146 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, 464 repairs to medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points, and more than 155 repairs to 0.4 kV power lines deliver electricity directly to the houses of the region residents.
