Distribution System Operators of DTEK Grids will channel more than UAH 340 million to finance the preparation for the 2020/2021 autumn-winter season
‘By preparing for the autumn-winter season, we manage to avoid a majority of potential outages. DTEK takes care about its customers and finds trouble spots in advance to have enough time to perform scheduled repairs. This is a foundation for quality and reliable electricity supply. Preparation programs undertaken in the regions include the repair of 6 thousand kilometres of power line. As a comparison, this is almost the entire length of Ukraine’s state border’, noted DTEK Grids CEO Ivan Gelyukh.
By the start of a heating season, distribution system operators of DTEK Grids operating in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk Regions, and Kyiv City will have completed more than 1,000 repairs to large high-voltage 110 kV and 35 kV substations, more than 6,070 repairs of medium-voltage 10 (6) kV transformer and distribution points , and 3,600 repairs of 0.4 kV power lines that deliver electricity directly to the houses of local residents*.
The preparation of electrical equipment for peak load in the region also includes repairs to 423 buildings and structures that directly involved to supplying electricity to consumers.
