DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to 17,000 families over the course of the day

On July 11, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to 6 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 17,000 families. Specialists of the energy company put every effort to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 6 settlements in the frontline region, thus restoring power to 17,270 families. 

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues, causing destruction in settlements both close to the frontline and remote ones. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 106 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 504 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
