DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 200,000 families in January
Massive shelling of the Donetsk region continued in January, causing damage to the energy infrastructure daily. In January, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored electricity to 201,116 families in 297 settlements of the Donetsk region.
Overall, since February 24 last year, specialists of the energy company have restored electricity to more than 3.9* mln families in the Donetsk region.
The situation with shelling remains difficult in the Donetsk region. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, there is an increase in shelling of both the frontline and of the settlements, relatively distant from the frontline. Signals of air alerts sound every 2-3 hours.
111 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
