DTEK Odesa Grids added the following vehicles to their fleet: a refueller based on an Iveco vehicle for the transportation of transformer oil, an elevator based on a Mitsubishi L200 vehicle, which will be useful by specialists when replacing insulators on poles, working with portable grounding, a drilling rig with an 800 mm drill on an off-road vehicle chassis, a truck crane with a lifting capacity of 25 tons, 9 Mitsubishi L200 vehicles and 5 drilling and crane installations for KhTZ tractors.

“Sustainable development is a priority for DTEK's investments. DTEK Odesa Grids is modernizing the technological infrastructure of the company so that our teams will repair power lines more quickly, and customers will be without power because of power-related outages for less time. This year we are investing UAH 51.3 million in the renewal of the vehicle fleet. For these funds, we will purchase 31 units of new special equipment throughout the year,” says Oleksandr Fomenko, General Director at DTEK Odesa Grids.

By the end of 2021, the company plans to purchase an Iveco dump truck, 9 vans for transporting crews, a forestry shredder (mulcher) based on the KhTZ tractor for clearing overgrown power lines and 2 electric laboratories - ETL-10 and ETL-35, which will help specialists find damage to the insulation of cable lines. The vehicles will help our energy workers to arrive at their destination faster and more efficiently connect new consumers, repair the equipment of electrical substations, transformer substations and distribution points, etc.

As a reminder, in 2020, DTEK Odesa Grids purchased 7 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 4x4 brigade vans, 2 Ford Transit mobile electrical laboratories, an Iveco Tracer 6x6 truck tractor, a 35 t Palfinger truck crane based on MAZ, 8 Mitsubishi L200 vehicles, 2 dump trucks Iveco TRACKER, 7 BKM-2M on the T-150 chassis. Funds for their purchase were provided for by the company's investment program for 2020.

It became possible to increase the amount of funds that the company invests in projects for the complete replacement of power equipment thanks to the stimulating investment RAB tariff introduced in 2021. Thus, the company could increase the investment program of DTEK Odesa Grids by 86% compared to 2020. In 2021, the company will invest UAH 888.8 million in the network.
