DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 30,000 families over the course of two days

On May 16 and 17, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to restore power to 15 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region, thus restoring electricity to more than 30,000 households. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs of the grids once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 15 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 30,074 families.

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The most difficult situation is in Bakhmut and Marinka.

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 112 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
