DTEK is transforming the business by introducing high-level standards of customer service. We are ugrading the networks and energy infrastructure of the region so that every customer has lights on and comfort at home. In 2021, we plan to repair 509 kilometers of power transmission lines, 464 transformer substations and distribution points, 193 high voltage substations. The company's energy workers have already completed about a half of the volume of work planned for the year,” says Oleksii Dehtyarev, CEO at DTEK Donetsk Grids.

Scheduled maintenances are the key to the stable functioning of the entire energy system in the region. The repair campaign provides for maintenance, regular repairs and overhaul of equipment, replacement, and restoration of old and worn-out network elements. In particular, repair, replacement or maintenance of transformers, switches, disconnectors, cable and overhead lines, electrical poles, pruning of trees under power lines, etc. Through such timely maintenances, there are fewer failures, and, therefore, there are fewer chances of power cuts at the customers' homes.

By the end of the year, DTEK Donetsk Grids will repair and maintain power transformers, transformer bushings, complex switchgears, and ventilation systems at 91 high-voltage substations.

There will be the following repairs completed on medium and low voltage networks:

  • 257 transformer substations and distribution points;
  • 308 km of air lines;
  • 5 km of cable lines;

Also, more than 40 kilometers of routes of overhead electrical networks will be cleared from bushes and overgrowth of trees. This means that these lines will become safer and more reliable.
