DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews are eliminating consequences of the storm, lasting since the night of August 16. Thunderstorms with squally wind caused damage to lines and electrical equipment in 41 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Energy workers are doing their best to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible.

In the night and in the morning of August 16, thunderstorms and squally wind gusts left 41 settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region without electricity (31 completely and 10 partially). Most blackouts happened in Nikopol, Dnipro and Kamianske districts. 17 overhead lines were damaged and over 200 transformer substations were de-energized. 9,500 families were left without electricity.

Energy workers are doing their best to restore electricity to customers’ homes. DTEK Dnipro Grids has engaged 18 crews (50 employees and 15 pieces of machinery) to eliminate consequences of the storm. Emergency and restoration activities in the region are to be completed by the end of the day
