DTEK Dnipro Grids restored power to the village in Apostolove district that suffered from shelling
Artillery shelling on April 4 disabled a 6 kV overhead line in one of the villages of Apostolove district at the border with Kherson region. Wires were broken by shell fragments (photo). This caused de-energization of some streets and local pump station that provides residents with water.
Three DTEK emergency crews were involved in restoration activities. These activities commenced as soon as energy workers were enabled to safely perform them.
Operation of the line is now restored. It allowed restoring potable water supply to 852 private houses. Additionally, the grids on five village streets were repaired. Service was restored to the homes of 80 families.
Over the course of the past two weeks, territory and settlements of the Apostolove district are being shelled by artillery from the territory of Vysokopillia district of the Kherson region on a daily basis.
The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access damaged sites.
DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews are transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are ready to promptly restore service in case of blackouts. Workers have specific guidelines related to operations in emergencies and are provided with everything needed to restore operation of equipment in case of damage, caused by hostilities.
