Until the end of 2020, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists will replace electricity meters in houses of more than 9,200 Dnipro people free of charge. Instead of old metering devices, new and advance ones will be installed that help to cut down some expenses*. Power engineers urge the citizens to admit the power company workers into their homes to do the installation. Below there are addresses in Dnipro, where the work will be done in the near future.

To date, about 4,600 Dnipro people already have free meters. The same number of devices will be installed by the end of the year. New meters are being installed in the buildings that are listed in the investment program. Such list is formed at the beginning of the year and is approved by the national regulator, NEURC. Customers are asked to let the DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists inside to be able to install the meters in their homes (if the meter is inside their apartment).

DTEK makes a significant contribution to the energy sector transition, and offers efficient solutions to its customers, such as online services, smart meters. Since the beginning of the year, more than 22 thousand automated metering devices have been installed, which help residents of Dnipro and the region to plan and manage their consumption and costs. Now more than 240 thousand houses have them, which is every fifth client of the region. We plan to install another 13 thousand by the end of the year. In total, we are investing more than UAH 30 million in re-equipment,” - says Andrii Tereshchuk, DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO.

The specialists inform the residents about the replacement in advance. They place Notices near the entrances to the houses, where they indicate the date of work and the contact phone number of a company representative. The DTEK Dnipro Grids employees are doing the job wearing branded overalls of gray-yellow color with the name of the company on it. At the request of a customer, electricians should show appropriate certificates.

Soon, about 720 Dnipro people will get new electricity meters at the following addresses:

  • 4, 6, 16, Koksova str;
  • 32, 34, 36, Bazhova str;
  • 69, 71, 73, 76А, 76Б Karuny str;

The entire list of houses in Dnipro, where free meters will be installed this year, can be found here.

*Having such meters installed for free, the residents are able to take advantage of the night electricity tariff (twice as cheap). Conditions and prices can be found on the NEURC website.
