DTEK Dnipro Grids to install around 4,500 smart meters for residents of Nikopol and Pokrov for free. Addresses
DTEK strives to become the benchmark for customer focus and implements high-level service standards. Smart meters automatically transmit electricity consumption readings. In addition, these meters record your daytime and nighttime electricity usage, which can significantly reduce the cost of electricity if you use the night rate*.
DTEK Dnipro Grids is one of the leaders in the installation of smart meters among distribution system operators. Until the end of 2021, there will be 351,000 such electricity metering devices in the region.
“As part of our investment program, the company installs smart meters in residential buildings which have obsolete metering devices of low accuracy. There will be no additional financial costs incurred by our customers. In 2021, we will install 67,000 pieces more of such advance metering devices. Of these, almost 2,000 are in Nikopol and 2,500 in Pokrov. Thanks to such automation program, every 4th family in the region will have a smart meter,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO of DTEK Dnipro Grids.
The company will inform the residents about such replacement in advance. Notifications will be placed near the entrances indicating the date of work. It is needed to let a DTEK Dnipro Grids representative inside (if the meter is inside the apartment) to install them.
The DTEK Dnipro Grids representatives do this job. They will be wearing branded overalls of gray-yellow color. At the request of a customer, electricians must present the appropriate certificates.
