DTEK Dnipro Grids has upgraded transformer substations and reconstructed lines in Kryvyi Rih, which supply electricity to the city dwellers. More than 26 kilometers of networks, 23 transformer substations have already been upgraded, and 7 new modern complete transformer substations have been installed. Such upgrade will meet the growing needs of citizens for electricity, and provide them with a reliable source of power.

As the energy consumption in Kryvyi Rih grows, and so the requirements for the power quality. DTEK Dnipro Grids is a conscious business that consistently upgrades the city's energy infrastructure.

“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, ensures the reliability of power supply and the comfort of its customers. This year we have invested ₴52.6 million in the Kryvyi Rih energy infrastructure. In particular, we earmarked more than ₴9.3 million to construct seven new transformer substations for dwellers of Kozachenko, Solovyina, Koltseva, Dozhdeva streets and other areas of the city. We also did the maintenance of 23 6/10-0.4 kV transformer substations, which provide stable power supply for residential areas,” says Andrii Tereschiuk, DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO.

The company will keep equipping the city with new modern transformer substations next year. They have already completed the design of six more unloading transformer substations in Kryvyi Rih on the streets of B. Khmelnitsky, Lokomotivnaya, Serafimovich, Medovaya, Serova and Shepetovskaya.

The company has reconstructed eleven 6-10 kV cable and overhead lines, which supply power to the following districts: 44th quarter, 2nd and 3rd Vostochny districts, Novoivanovka village and the central part of the city. They also did a major overhaul of networks on Promyshlennaya, Shishkina, Sirko and Matrosov streets. The total length of the maintained 6-10 kV lines was 18.6 km. And another 7.6 km are 0.4 kV low voltage lines, which directly supply households.

Moreover, the Kryvyi Rih customers received almost 10,000 automated metering devices for free in 2020. So now, they are able to manage their consumption and save on electricity having a 50% night rate. There will be another thousand smart meters installed by the end of December.
