DTEK Dnipro Grids to invest more than 20 mln hryvna into the Pavlohrad infrastructure
With the growth of energy consumption in the region, the requirements for the electricity quality parameters also increase. Therefore, the company's energy workers consistently modernize the energy infrastructure, replacing equipment with the new, modern, and efficient one.
“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests and takes care of its customers. The company consistently transforms the energy infrastructure. This year, we are investing more than UAH 20 million in the networks of the Pavlohrad area. We will replace the obsolete equipment of distribution points that power the following micro-districts of Pavlohrad: Horvetka, RTS, Selmah and Khutora. We are upgrading our transformer substations, providing residents with an additional source of power,” says Konstantin Stadnik, Head of Pavlohradsky Distribution Zone of DTEK Dnipro Grids.
The company's energy workers will renovate almost 50 km of low and medium voltage lines. Reclosers are used to automate and improve the reliability of medium voltage overhead lines of 6-10 kV. This year they will be installed on two lines, which are crucial for the electricity distribution in this area and provide power supply to almost 2,000 residents in the Pavlohradsky District and the city of Ternovka. In case of an emergency, reclosers immediately localize the damaged area, while maintaining the operation of the main line and the power supply of the customers connected to it. Thanks to them, any failure in the network is detected, and thus, recovered much faster.
Also, in August-September, a large-scale reconstruction of a 37-kilometer airline will be carried out in Ternovka, which provides electricity to residents of 4 villages in the Pavlohrad District. The company will replace 25 kilometers of wires, install 63 new electrical poles and more than 400 insulators.
In addition, the training ground will be arranged in the village of Mezhirich in the Pavlohradsky District by the end of the year. Here, the energy workers from all over the region, as well as from other regions, will be trained to do hotline maintenance. The company will earmark more than UAH 9 million to re-equip the landfill. DTEK Dnipro Grids was one of the first to use such European technology in Ukraine, which makes it possible to minimize inconvenience for customers. Now, about 25-35% of current maintenance work is carried out without disconnecting Pavlohrad and the area from the power supply. In the future, the company's energy workers plan to expand the list and types of work and carry out most of the maintenances on the lines and equipment in this way.
