DTEK Dnipro Grids to invest more than UAH 76M into Kryvyi Rih infrastructure

DTEK Dnipro Grids is upgrading transformer substations and reconstructing lines in Kryvyi Rih that supply electricity to people in the city. The plan is to upgrade more than 39 km of lines and 10 transformer substations in Ternovsky, Metallurgichesky, Inguletsky and Central Districts. Such upgrade will satisfy the growing need for electricity and ensure reliable and advance source of power supply.

With the growth of energy consumption in Kryvyi Rih, the requirements for the electricity quality parameters are also growing. Therefore, the company's energy workers are consistently modernizing the city's energy infrastructure, making it up to date.

DTEK strives to become the benchmark for customer focus and implements high-level service standards. Last year, we invested about UAH 52 million in the development of the energy infrastructure of Kryvyi Rih. This year we are investing more than 76 million more. We will replace obsolete equipment in 10 transformer substations, which will provide reliable power supply to nearly 4,000 customers in four city districts, as well as preschools, a hostel, and a rehabilitation center. We will also reconstruct more than 39 km of cable and overhead lines,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO of DTEK Dnipro Grids.

In addition to the reconstruction of the lines, the company's energy workers are upgrading 1 distribution and 13 transformer substations, which directly supply residential buildings. Also, this year, design estimates are being developed to replace 84 km of cable and overhead lines 6-10 kV and 0.4 kV. We plan to carry out reconstruction in 2022-2023.

Now work is being carried out in the Metallurgichesky and Inguletsky Districts of the city. Here, 3 transformer substations are being modernized, which provide electricity to residents of 37 high-rise buildings (counting 1,150 apartments), as well as business customers, large supermarkets, pharmacies, and preschools.

We keep performing scheduled repairs. In order not to create inconveniences and to be as "invisible" as possible for customers, about 25-35% of such works are hotline maintenances. Such maintenances are carried out as per the European technology, and the company's energy workers were among the first to introduce in Ukraine. Last year, about 1,000 works were completed in the city, during which the electricity was not cut off for customers.

So that power outages do not catch you by surprise, you can find out about planned work in advance on the company's website, as well as via the chatbots on the Telegram and Viber. There, you can also promptly report an outage. Details can be found in the video.
