DTEK Dnipro Grids to support Earth Hour campaign
“DTEK is transforming its business in accordance with the New Strategy 2030, which is based on ESG principles, values and business responsibility for progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Global Compact. Tomorrow, DTEK Dnipro Grids will have joined Earth Hour for the fourth time. This year, we traditionally turn off the illumination of buildings and signs in the main office and structural divisions in Dnipro and the region for 60 minutes. And we are not doing this to save electricity. This is how we draw people's attention to the need to respect nature and the world around us,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, General Director of DTEK Dnipro Grids.
Earth Hour is the largest environmental campaign on the planet that involve more than 2 billion people around the world from more than 180 countries. During the action, the World Wide Fund for Nature calls to turn off the lights for one hour as a sign of concern for the future of the Earth. Millions of people around the world symbolically turn off the lights in their homes and workplaces for an hour, making a commitment to take care of nature every day. At the same time, the illumination of the most famous buildings and monuments in the world goes out. In 2021, the international Earth Hour will take place for the 15th time.
