DTEK Dnipro Grids restored service to 35,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk region, left without electricity due to severe weather
Since the worsening of weather conditions (April 1 – 3), wind gusts and fallen trees have damaged 60 overhead lines and 671 transformer substations. Most blackouts happened in Nikopol, Pavlohrad and Synelnykove districts. Severe weather left 68 settlements in rural districts of Dnipropetrovsk region partially without electricity and 58 more completely without electricity.
Overall, in the course of 3 days, 117 crews of the DTEK Dnipro Grids and 128 pieces of machinery were involved in emergency elimination. They worked round the clock in order to restore damaged sections of lines and equipment as soon as possible.
As of April 4, energy workers restored power to 34,795 families. Service was restored to 121 settlements of the region.
Electricity is still completely unavailable in two settlements and partially in three more. That is 687 customers. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews are working non-stop to promptly restore power. Emergency and restoration activities in the region are to be completed by the end of the day.
DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews are transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are ready to promptly restore service in case of blackouts.
