DTEK Dnipro Grids restored electricity to 56 settlements, de-energized due to the storm

Over the course of a day, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have restored electricity to more than 24,000 families in 56 settlements in the rural area. Broken wires and lines damages were caused by the storm that lasted since the night of August 1. About 9,000 customers remain without electricity. Energy workers are putting maximum effort to restore electricity to every homes as soon as possible.

On August 1, thunderstorms with squally wind caused damage to lines and massive blackouts in the region. Most blackouts happened in Dnipro, Synelnykove and Novomoskovsk districts. Over the course of a day, energy workers managed to restore power to 56 settlements. Specialists have promptly restored operation of damaged lines and de-energized transformer substations, thus restoring electricity to more than 24,000 homes of the region’s residents.

About 9,000 customers, de-energized due to the night storm, remain without electricity.

DTEK Dnipro Grids has engaged 23 crews (68 employees and 25 pieces of machinery) to eliminate damage. Emergency and restoration activities in the region are to be completed by the end of the day
