On August 1, thunderstorms with squally wind caused damage to lines and massive blackouts in the region. Most blackouts happened in Dnipro, Synelnykove and Novomoskovsk districts. Over the course of a day, energy workers managed to restore power to 56 settlements. Specialists have promptly restored operation of damaged lines and de-energized transformer substations, thus restoring electricity to more than 24,000 homes of the region’s residents.
