DTEK Dnipro Grids brings power back to more than 10,000 people in the region
A squall wind and thunderstorm that raged on the night of May 17 led to blackouts. As of Monday morning, 37 settlements were de-energized completely, and about 30 settlements were de-energized partially. Most of them are in Nikopol, Shirokovsky and Pyatikhatsky Districts.

About 22 teams were involved to eliminate the consequences of severe weather, counting 86 experts, and 24 pieces of equipment. The electricity supply has now been fully restored.
According to the information from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, the weather conditions will get worse within the region between May 18 and 20. In Dnipro and some other areas of the region, gusts of south wind of 15-20 meters per second are expected, as well as thunderstorms and hail in some areas. An extreme (V class) fire hazard has been declared in the region.
