DTEK Dnipro Grids continues to reinforce the grids: 2,500 km of lines and 309 power facilities upgraded in 2023
Every year, during scheduled repairs, DTEK Dnipro Grids eliminates defects of the grid, checks serviceability, performs repair and maintenance of equipment. In 2023, specialists repaired 265 high-voltage and transformer substations, distribution points, cleared almost 3,400 km of routes underneath power lines from tree branches and shrubs in order to reduce the risk of emergencies during bad weather.
Additionally, within the investment program, DTEK Dnipro Grids upgraded primary joints on 44 large high-voltage substations and other power facilities. In particular, modernized a substation in Dnipro that powers part of the Left bank of the city and built a 150 kV underground cable line for three right-bank districts: Substation, Topolia and Sokil. These works improved quality and reliability of power supply to more than 83,000 families and 100 socially important facilities in Dnipro and neighboring settlements.

In 2023, we have been systematically preparing our grids, reinforcing it, whenever required, repairing, replacing equipment in order to be prepared for any situations. Performed works allow us to stably provide the city with electricity and faster restore power supply after enemy shelling by reinforcing and repairing the grids, in particular,” – noted Andrii Tereshchuk, CEO at DTEK Dnipro Grids.
