On December 13-14, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore power to 5 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring power to more than 2,000 families. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs immediately, once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have restored power to residents of five settlements, thus restoring electricity to 2,166 families over the course of two days.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains stably difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues offensive attempts in the directions of Avdiivka and Bakhmut, and tries to improve his tactical position in the direction of Lyman. Shelling continues – the enemy has launched 8 missile and 31 air strikes on the civil infrastructure of the Donetsk region, as well as fired from MLRS 61 times.

93 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 295 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines, once it becomes possible.

Due to a difficult situation in the energy system, emergency power cutoffs are ongoing in the Donetsk region in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo order. This is a necessary step to stabilize the energy system and prevent new outages. The schedules of stabilization shutdowns are no longer valid. We also urge all customers to consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.
