DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to almost 17,000 families in 23 settlements over the course of a week

Despite the difficult situation with shelling in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to get permission from the military and access a number of sites of grids and equipment damage. Electricity has been completely or partially restored to 23 settlements, thus restoring power to almost 17,000 families in the frontline region. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company have restored power to more than 4.2 mln families* in the Donetsk region.

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore power to residents of 23 settlements, thus restoring access to electricity for 16,856 families in the Donetsk region.

In particular, energy workers have restored electricity to 5,700 families in 2 settlements over the weekend.

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Shelling continues, affecting settlements of the Donetsk region both near the buffer zone and in the relative rear.

Constant shelling continues to damage the energy infrastructure. Therefore, 107 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 398 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
