DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to almost 50,000 families over the course of the week

From March 18 to 24, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to residents of 32 settlements, affected by large-scale russian attacks, thus restoring electricity to homes of almost 50,000 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity in the frontline region once it becomes possible.

Last week, the enemy carried out the largest attacks on power facilities of the country in recent times, damaging electricity generation, transmission and distribution facilities, thus, causing the need to limit power consumption. In particular, in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo order, emergency power shutdowns had to be introduced to stabilize the situation in the Donetsk region. 

However, thanks to the coordinated work of all energy workers, they managed to stabilize the energy system of the region. Over the past week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 32 settlements, thus restoring power to 48,072 families. 

At the same time, active hostilities do not stop in the Donetsk region. According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the region, the enemy shelled Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts yesterday.  

Due to constant shelling, specialists of the energy company do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 761 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to a total of more than 7.2 mln families* in the Donetsk region.
